A Student Research Poster Contest was once again held in conjunction with the 2011 Texas Irrigation Expo. There were two categories, one for high school/college undergraduate students and one for graduate students, with cash prizes in each category. Emphasis
was given to projects that address a water-related topic, such as water
conservation, water quality, irrigation, water impacts on crop production, etc. Congratulations to this year's winners, listed below. Awards were presented by Dr. Shad Nelson and Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr.; photos of the award presentations are now posted.
